What is ISA and IFISA?

An Innovative Finance ISA (IF ISA) is a type of Individual Saving Account (ISA) which allows UK residents and tax payers to earn tax free interest on peer-to-peer investments. Each year, you can invest up to the tax-free allowance limit (£20,000 for 2019/20), and you can also build up your ISA balance over the years.

How We Reduce Risks?

Provision Fund Cover

Truly Diversified Investment
With Fund Ourselves Auto-Diversify™ you may invest in a minimum of 10 loans. This can be adjusted to 20 loans. So, with a small investment you can invest into 40-80 loans per year. This is what we call real diversification.

Easy access to your money

You can request to access your funds at any time upon investing. In the majority of cases investments should be made available promptly due to the effective operation of the secondary market. There are no fees to access your money but we have deployed a fair usage policy which may limit reinvests in the event of excessive withdrawals. Please note that we cannot guarantee immediate access but we are confident that due to the short-term to medium-term nature of the loans and secondary market access to your funds will be a quick and easy process.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens if I’ve already opened an Innovative Finance ISA in the current tax year?
    You can simply and quickly add savings to your Fund Ourselves ISA as well as transfer in your other ISAs. There is also no limit on the number of different ISAs you can transfer to us. Transfers In from previous tax years don't affect your current annual £20,000 ISA allowance, and there is no limit on how much you can Transfer In from previous years.
  • Will the Fund Ourselves ISA be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
    No. the Innovative Finance ISA is made up of Peer-to-Peer loans which are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. However, you will have the benefit of our Provision Fund which aims to reimburse all our lenders for their principal losses subject to fund availability.
  • What type of ISA is the Fund Ourselves ISA?
    The Fund Ourselves ISA is an Innovative Finance ISA. It was be introduced by the UK Government in April 2016 specifically for peer to peer lending activities.
  • Are there any ISA fees?
    There are no fees applicable to set up a Fund Ourselves ISA. There are also no fees to transfer funds in or out.
  • How do I transfer in or out?
    You can transfer in by simply selecting the 'transfer in tab' in your 'My Accounts' page and by providing the following details – type of ISA, ISA Provider, ISA Reference Number, Amount to be transferred in. You can transfer out by simply requesting the funds to be withdrawn to your bank account. Please note that this may not be instant and will depend on if the funds have been lent out and if so if other lenders will purchase the investment from you. If we receive a transfer out request on your behalf from an ISA provider we will always verify the request directly with you.
